The southern Heim's were in town and gave Deegan the present of a life time ... Power tools! He LOVED his tool box and now fits in great with Daddy and Uncle Curtis.

Did I make the announcement that we bought a new pet? Its called a Deegan!

It can get out of its cage but does not come potty trained

It does share with its like kind. Some for Deegan and some for Penny. Disgusting!

I told him to not get any idea's ... he is enough work!

Tractor ride at the pumpkin patch that was not really a pumpkin patch ... it sure was fun though!

On a hay ride with his mom ... he was not too impressed.

Not too impressed with pumpkins either ... they do not do much. Hence, not entertaining for a 1 1/2 old child. Note to self ...

We got gloves for the cold weather and Deegan LOVES them. Go figure! He hates long sleeves and coats and will not hold your hand to cross the street but he loves gloves. At least he is always full of surprises.

We will miss you!

Poppop, I will miss your stories about the old days, your crazy shopping habits, the rugs and floor mats you placed everywhere, the phone calls we would get at 10pm about your thoughts on our work bench and your constant reference to the consumer guide or as we call it, the "consumer god book." I will miss your whistling, your sense of humor and your constant need to build and repair stuff ... AND I will never forget the light I saw in your eyes when you met your first great-grandchild. You were a wonderful role model in my life, and a great friend. When I am up beside you, be sure to remind me that I owe you more than a few dollars. I hope you accept my dedication to my own family as gratuity for all the wonderful memories that you gave me and for being my pillar of strength next to my father.

Hello and Goodbye September

September seemed to come and go so fast! Every weekend was booked with children's B-Day parties (yes our lives have come to this) or some other form of child entertainment. We are finally settled in the new house, have grass that is ALIVE, and tomorrow we will officially have a kitchen table! Life is good! We never would have thought 5 years ago that all the above sounded like our life but here we are and living it to the fullest ;)

Now, usually I am super particular about my blog posts as you all know but this time I went backwards in chronological order and I cannot believe it. Normally, I would have erased all the pictures and started over but I fear I will not remember to post again (hence the huge delay between postings lately). So I ask you to deal with what I have and just know it pained me to post it this way.

We had our first trip to the Denver Zoo. Come to find out that the animals are not out when the Zoo first opens so we found pictures of Monkey's. Note to self, we should have asked for a discount because we saw more humans in the cages then animals!

Finally an elephant came out! Bug kept saying OHHH WOOW!

Our little helper ... kinda, sorta, not really. He helped to take everything out to make sure it was truly dirty.

Brooklyn's 2nd B-Day! It was great seeing Michelle and Mike from Vegas. We have some great memories together from high school and college. Know we are grown with families ... AHHH!

So the CU and CSU game did not go as planned but we are still proud to be a CSU RAM!

Don't know what happened to the picture but I could not get it to flip. Either way this is our new game ... STINKY TOES!

Grandma Foo wanted an official picture of Deegan in his Indian shirt, mocassins and on his blanket. He looks so handsome!

Apparently DVD cases can double as rollerskates!

Per the picture above, once we busted these bad boys out we cannot seem to get them off his feet. We now call them his indoor shoes but he would sleep in them if he could.

Hmmmm ... much easier to get to his toys if he sits in the toy box.

It's official, Deegan is a Heim child ... fearless, a dare devil and prone to accidents. It's not good when daycare consistently reports that when another kid falls off something Deegan is the first to get on it to show he can master whatever it was (sounds like his father if you ask me).

If he is going to sit on his car he must laugh in the face of danger as he rides on the "hood". Little does he know, mommy is holding him on with her dear life!

The tide has turned and I am finally tanner then Tara. I do have to say I am proud of her as she is our 2010 Bronco's Cheerleader Captain. YEAH!

Unlike his father, Deegan is not allergic to horses ... he is a true Indian boy ;) He makes his dad feel better by riding fake one's as well.

Kids for the cure. That was the longest 5K walk of our lives! Next time Eric needs to buck up and run.

2nd date - Mommy still holds the first but Miss Emily is a good runner up for his love.

We always love when the Brit's come to town. They treat us like family and we cannot wait to make the trip to England to pay them a visit with Tim and Tracey.

Better late than never

So, as many of you know, Deegan has had the ability to stand but for some reason kept deciding not to try to walk. We were a little concerned about his left hip for a while, but the doctors said he was ok, and just had a 'bad habit' using his walker toys. Anyways, he finally decided to take off walking, we caught it on tape... ENJOY!
