Some of our Favorites

Skyridge now provides this awesome service where a photographer comes into your room for 15 min, takes a few pictures and then posts them online for you to decide if you want to buy them or not ... no obligation. Of course, they turned out awesome and we ended up buying the whole CD. Here are just a few of our favorites!

Week 1

Love my boys! We took this picture day one when we came home from the hospital (hence the glazed over look I am giving the camera). Deegan has adjusted better then we thought possible. He LOVES his baby brother and is constantly asking to kiss and hug him which warms our hearts. He has been sleeping the cries at night and has been an "angel" at daycare ... a little scary that is going so smooth.

We have moved to man-on-man defense and Eric has been in charge of Bug. This is day 2 and Deegan is trying out his new pool for the first time. He loved it and it was way more convenient then hauling him to the community pool. I do have to make a side comment that Eric actually looks buff in this picture and the man has not worked out in several years .... irritating.

Happy Boy

Look at that form! He was very serious about coloring and held the crayon like a big boy. I cannot believe how grown up this little man has become. He is using his words, talking in sentences and actually listens to us.

Brother, meet your brother. This was the first time Deegan saw his brother and it was adorable. He pointed out his hat, eyes, nose, etc.

That binkie is half of his face but he loves it. This is new to us as Deegan hated the binkies. There are times that I want to throw the thing across the room or strap it to his head. Those times are in the middle of the night when it falls out of his mouth 10x's in a row.

Taber looks like a hommie-G with his little hat ... too funny but the cutest thing ever! We have been looking at pictures of Deegan and are shocked at how closely they look a like. I will find a picture and show you the comparison another day.

Introducing Taber John Heim !!!

Well, it is official BOYS RULE in the Heim house!

Taber was born at 9:51 am on June 8th. He weighed 6 lbs 10 oz, and was 20 inches long. He is happy, healthy and doing well. It is such a different experience having a second child since we knew what to expect, but it was still an absolute miracle and we love him already!

FUN in the SUN!

Deegan recently decided to teach himself how to hold his breath under water at the pool. Not sure how he decided to or thought to do so, but here is a video of him dunking himself. He had been doing it for about 30 minutes previous to this and was running out of steam, but was still a champ holding his breath for 6 seconds (well, that is how long Daddy would let him do it before he freaked out)!

P.S. - Alise is 38 weeks pregnant filming this... At the end of the video you see a young boys head pop into the picture, he is retrieving a foam football that his friend threw that got stuck between Alise's belly and the wall, they thought it was HILARIOUS!

Nesting

Daycare sent this to us as a picture message from one of the kids B-Day parties and I could not help to laugh and think ... This is definitely my kid. Look how happy he is eating cake and ice cream!!! Love it!

Per the title of this post, I have been a momma bird nesting to the 10th degree. This works out poorly for Eric as I cannot seem to do anything and he has been such a trooper. I had him painting, doing crown molding, resurfacing the fire place, putting Deegan's "big boy" room together and about 10,000 other things. I am very very very lucky to have a handy husband with every tool under the sun.

Easter Egg Hung in the backyard

Mother's day photo shoot. We had a scheduled session and of course they were running late. During that waiting time Deegan was a perfect, happy little boy. Once we realized how good he was being Eric and I gave each other the "oh crap" face as we knew what that meant for our photo shoot. Well we were right. We had about 4 minutes of happy Deegan before he shut down and decided the photographer was not that funny. All things considered, we got some decent shots.

They had to find props ... we had to ask for the screwdriver as we knew the car was not enough! I had another picture but I accidentally deleted it and it is too big of a pain to post it at the bottom ... I could be retardo when it comes to blogging but it is not worth trying to move a pic from the top to bottom! That might be my impatient pregnancy hormones talking :)
