Destiny

I have always know I was destined to be surrounded by men my whole life. First, with my brother, then with all boy cousins on both sides of the family and then 2 new step-brothers. I have since been blessed with a beautiful boy who consumes my whole world only to find out this next baby is another BOY! I forever see trucks, tools, sports, motorcycles, bugs and hospital bills in my feature. Eric swore up and done that is was a girl because my pregnancy was exactly opposite ... so much so he did not even go with me to the ultra-sound! Life's little surprises!

I'll post pictures later once I download them from the camera but needed to get an update out there! Heim boy #2 ... we cannot wait to meet you!

Happy Holidays!

Thank goodness the holiday bonanza is over! I am thinking next year we just tell our family to come to us because this year was hectic, our naps suffered and Eric and I are spent. How do people do it with 2?!!! With all that said, Deegan did rake in big time when it came to presents and he could not be more blessed. Now the question is, where do I fit all these presents because most are large and I HATE clutter in my house. Ugh!

I did get in trouble this year because I asked Santa to bring Deegan a vacuum, ironing board, shopping cart and kitchen. Yep, I am trying to domesticate him at an early age! JK! He obviously has a lot of little girl friends and these seem to be his favorite toys when we go to their houses so I thought he would like it at home too. All of Bug's grandpa's and uncle's were concerned so they took it upon them selves to buy "manly" items that were not on his list. Too Funny!

Its as manly of a shopping cart as one can buy ... AND he loves to push it.

His FAVORITE gift is a vacuum. HILARIOUS!!!! Eric and I are hoping that now he would like to help us vacuum vs needing to be held or put into the backpack because it is killing us. We need a maid.

6:00am and Deegan decides he must have some cheese balls before he can eat his waffles. He knows he is bad.

Life as we know it

I really wanted to see the movie "Life as we knew it" and almost made it out on a date night before we made last minute changes. Either way I thought it was funny to think of how far we have come ... so I am documenting it.

Yep, its true ... we are expecting baby Heim #2 on June 20th 2011! Now the question is ... boy or girl. Due to the Schillinger curse I am placing all my eggs in the boy basket but Eric is set that it is a girl. Now my pregnancy has been a lot different but I take that with a grain of salt. Obviously we each have a 50/50 shot at being right ... at the end of the day we just want a happy and healthy baby so we will be thrilled with either sex.

With all this said, Eric and I better plan that date night to see the movie because I have a feeling life is about to get crazy!

Let the Holiday Season Begin

Turns out after 6 months from the day you move into the Meadows you must have your backyard complete. That gave us until January to finish our backyard ... what a wonderful time of the year to be landscaping. Deegan saw our dismay and decided to be a big help by insisting he be pushed in the wheel barrel all day. Crazy boy!
When he is not landscaping he likes to put yogurt in his hair as though it were hair gel. Unfortunately yogurt does dry in the same consistency. He looked like Cameron Diaz from Something About Mary when things were all said and done!

We also ensure he has good posture by balancing items on his head. Today it was the pot holder. Ignore the yucky nose ... he was sick.

Toilet Paper has become a rare commodity in our household. If you ever come over do not be surprised if it is re-rolled or on top of the sink.

This is how Eric cleans Deegan after food ... I think it is hilarious. They also work on their Indian chants while cleaning his mouth ;)

Over Thanksgiving we went up to the cabin and it was Deegan's first real encounter with snow. He liked it alright ... just hated the outfit. He is making sure not to fall off in this picture because 20 min earlier he took a face plant into deep snow and was not thrilled.

Grumpy Monkey

Oh dear god did Deegan HATE his monkey hat. As noted in the picture below, he was perfectly happy without the hat but once I tried to place it on his head ... World War III! So freaking funny!

Eric took Deegan Trick or Treating and only made it about 5 houses before Deegan lost interest. In hopes of keeping him happy he gave him a lollipop and it did the trick. So much so, Deegan did not find any point in going to any more houses ... so they came home. Deegan, loved that lollipop so much that he found another one and when we would not open it for him to eat, he chose to eat through the wrapper. True monkey!

I knew having a Heim Boy was going to be trouble.

There they are ... proud dad's who now talk about diapers, mac & cheese as well as sippy cups. It makes me laugh every time they are together. Hard to believe Chris has a 14 week old baby boy too ... oh the madness!

Tailgating. FYI, when you are old and have small children you no longer fit in. I think it is time we park on the old people side and suck up the $10 parking fee. We should save the student ID's for movie tickets! Also, my other comment is, you know you are getting old when college students start looking like high school students. UGH!

He wad a very good boy at the game. Of course he did take a lap of the stadium but had his moments of chillaxing ... especially when gold fish and dip n dots were near.
