3 Months ... Plus Some Change

We bought a bumbo to work on our neck control. Deegan will last about 2-5 minutes before he either gets mad, bored or tired. Definitely not our favorite toy!

Tummy time on the boppy ... too bad we find our thumb every single time and for get about working on keeping our head up. Our kid has ADD!!!

When I get more time I will do a proper update but at least I got some pictures out there!

The Walking Dead

Well I have been back to work for 2 weeks (hence the delay in blogging) and I have turned into the walking the dead. I am sooooo tired! Deegan's sleep habits have not changed but now instead of hanging out in my PJs all day worrying about the next diaper change, I now have to hit the mental grind of work. To add insult to injury, Eric has been traveling A LOT and I am trying to do this all alone ... amen to all of those single mom's! My new best friend is coffee (which I only drank on occasion before) and I love it so much that I have asked Eric for a coffee maker for our anniversary! No diamonds ... just caffeine please!!!


To expand on my lack of mental stability I have a short story: Eric was out of town and I was rushing around in the morning to get bug and I out the door because I needed to get to work early. I called Eric while I was driving and about 15 min later I looked in my rear view mirror and realized I forgot to drop Bug off at daycare ... I was just driving to work and was planning to bring him with me I guess. So I had to turn around, drive back in the other direction, sit through school traffic and drop him off. I also felt bad because my sitter woke up early to watch him and I was nearly 20 minutes late. Then by the time I got back on the highway rush hour started ... needless to say I did not make it to work early as as planned!

Also If you have not noticed ... we have a thumb sucker. He found his thumb last weekend and it is the most entertaining object in his life. He no long accepts his binki's which is good in the fact that we will not freak out if we lose one cause that thumb is with him at all times. I really didn't want a thumb sucker but I am learning that I am not the boss.

We have been SUPER busy ... for the past 2 1/2 weeks we have had family in town. It started with Eric's dad and his family followed by the rest of the Heim's. The day after they all left my grandmother, grandfather and aunt from Florida came to meet the little man. Deegan is truly loved and as such I am not sure if he was put down on the floor during that whole time.

While everyone was in town we were able to take a picture with Deegan and ALL of his GREAT-Grandparents (a miracle that we were all together at the same time). This will be a great picture for him to look at 20yrs down the road.

The Brits were in town! Tracey's parents came into town from England so we went over for dinner to enjoy their company. I love that her dad follows the blog ... at least someone reads this :) Deegan took to the both of them and was perfectly content.

Below is Emily (6 weeks older) and Bug. He has proved himself to be baby Godzilla as he is longer then her and his feet are GINARMOUS compared to hers. Emily has to be one of the most well behaved babies I have ever met (watch out when she is 13!). She did not cry once, did not eat once nor did Tim or Tracey have to change a diaper. On the other hand Deegan had his "I need love trantrums", ate 2x and we changed 7 diapers. Oh how I love my needy boy!!!

Godzilla

It has been confirmed ... Eric and I have given birth to baby GODZILLA! We went in for Deegan's 2 month check up and he is a big boy. He is in the 97% for his height (yes my child), 57% for weight and 50% for his head size. The Dr guessed that he will actually be taller then Eric ... he will stand out like a sore thumb in when he is with the Schillingers!


We have been in the routine of giving Deegan a bath every night before bed and it has turned into the best part of our day. He can be screaming and once he hits that water he is calm as a clam. When we take him out to dry he just smiles, coo's and talks to us ... oooh this is love!

Eric's Family was in town for a week and Deegan had a great time playing with his cousins. The girls were great babysitters and I wish they lived closer so that I could use them in the future (of course I am still not bold enough to leave him alone for too long). On another note ... it is obvious that DMan looks like his cousins (not so much in this picture but in general).
