26 Years and 26 Weeks

I had a great birthday week ... yes week! I had enough pizza, Chinese and cake to last me a lifetime. If I pass my gestational diabetes test this week I will be amazed!!!


We went up to Fort Collins for the weekend to see our good friends Chris and Julia. Chris and Eric were college roommates and it just so happens Julia and I are 3 weeks apart in our pregnancy. It will be great to see these tough, motocross loving, plane flying friends toting around baby gear! This is their pregnancy progress report.


This is our progress report ... 26 weeks (me) and 30 weeks (Julia). You will get the whole timeline at the end!




This is a 3D picture of Stoner's face ... you can see his eyes, nose and fingers on the face. According to Julia, there was something in front of his lips so he DOESN'T have gigantic lips like his father. Oh and I did ask about the nose and that apparently looks distorted in the ultra sounds (like a fish-eye lens) so there is a chance he won't be Beeky #2!!!

Is it really a Boy???

Umm, no question here! My grandma asked the other night if we were sure it was a boy as the ultra sound could have been wrong. Thanks to Jackie's photographic skills, I am pretty confident by this picture that it is a boy. Of course Eric was proud of his son's "junk" and Jackie and I could not get over how long the child kept his legs open for us. He is definitely a Heim ... no lack in self confidence!

Unfortunately I have no other news and thought I would put any hopes of a girl down to rest. Sorry Nanny ... maybe the next one :)

24 Weeks ... OOH BABY

Here is a picture of the baby bump. Little Stoner is measuring a week ahead and my belly is measuring 2 weeks ahead ... hopefully he comes early!!! Now I know some of you probably did a double take on "Stoner" but that is what we call our unborn child, HA! The story behind the name is this: when we first found out we were pregnant we were all gung-hoe about looking at baby names and this was one that we came across. We died laughing and there were several comments posted about the name pleading no one should ever name their child after pot smoking hippies. I know someday it will come back to him that we nick-named him Stoner!

Introducing ...

We have finally broken down and created a blog! This is for all of our loved ones who do not live near ... now you can keep up with our not-so-crazy yet lives. As you can see from the picture we are about to have a reality check and life will never be the same. Just as a recap, we are having a baby BOY due May 25, 2009 (this is a picture @ 15 weeks).

I am not going to lie, I am scared to death about having a boy ... not just any boy, a HEIM boy. I didn't know what to expect with a girl but I am now gauranteed to have a crazy, fearless, accident prone little boy. I need to check to make sure I have the best insurance in place because I will be in the hospital numerous times with broken bones, cuts and bruises if he is anything like his father. I can only pray there is a little Schillinger in this child and motorcycles become illegal!
