Garin and Coley's Wedding

Garin, one of Eric's best friends and Coley got married this weekend and we had a total blast. As you can see we got all dressed up for the occasion. The tie and jacket didn't last too long but he sure looked cute (and yes I am talking about Bug vs Eric).

It looks like he got caught red handed! He really just liked the noise and I was trying anything to get him to set in that bumbo while I cleaned bottles.

Tummy Time! Deegan actually rolled over last weekend from his back to his belly. It was 6:30am and I got so excited I screamed and woke up Eric. Bug did it 4 more times and hasn't since. We have been trying to entice him with toys to roll over but he seems to think "been there; done that".

He is our Happy

If you looked up the word happy in our dictionary there would be a picture of this little man. Today he is 4 months old ... holy cow batman!!! It is amazing ... he was once this little bump-on-the-log and now he smiles, laughs, talks (baby talk that is), and looks like a little boy. We went to his 4 month check up yesterday and he is 26.5 inches long (95%) and 14lbs (25%). Tall and skinny ... wonder where he gets that from ;)

That darn bumbo ... you can see in his eyes that he is pleading for us to take him out. But no, mommy grabs the camera instead to capture this moment ... a moment of torture!

We took Deegan to his first CSU football game ... probably not the best game to take a baby to because it was 50 degrees and raining. We even bought him a little CSU jersey but obviously it was covered the entire time with a blanket. The hole game I kept singing the chant "I'm proud to be a CSU RAM" (CSU alumni know what I am talking about). We also met up with Chris, Julia and Giana (who was dressed to the 9 in her CSU cheerleading outfit). I for some reason did not take any pictures with my camera so I will have to get them from her and post them later. The kids were adorable ... little Rams in the making!

Because he has rubbed off most of his hair except a strip on the top and back, it looks like he has a mohawk. Eric decided to accentuate it by sticking hair gel in it and spiking it out. It looked super funny but I just love his little natural part.

For labor day weekend we went to the cabin with the whole family (all 10 of us). We celebrated the holiday, Evan's birthday and our anniversary. I took this picture just before we went on a walk and he looks like he saw a ghost. I love this hat!

Speaking of hats ... Uncle Jerry bought Bug a UNC hat and it could not have been better timed. His skull and cross bones beenie was too small and his little head was going to freeze. He lived in this hat all weekend and he actually had to wear it at the CSU game (that was a game day foul for sure). But he looks soooo cute!

3 Months ... Plus Some Change

We bought a bumbo to work on our neck control. Deegan will last about 2-5 minutes before he either gets mad, bored or tired. Definitely not our favorite toy!

Tummy time on the boppy ... too bad we find our thumb every single time and for get about working on keeping our head up. Our kid has ADD!!!

When I get more time I will do a proper update but at least I got some pictures out there!

The Walking Dead

Well I have been back to work for 2 weeks (hence the delay in blogging) and I have turned into the walking the dead. I am sooooo tired! Deegan's sleep habits have not changed but now instead of hanging out in my PJs all day worrying about the next diaper change, I now have to hit the mental grind of work. To add insult to injury, Eric has been traveling A LOT and I am trying to do this all alone ... amen to all of those single mom's! My new best friend is coffee (which I only drank on occasion before) and I love it so much that I have asked Eric for a coffee maker for our anniversary! No diamonds ... just caffeine please!!!


To expand on my lack of mental stability I have a short story: Eric was out of town and I was rushing around in the morning to get bug and I out the door because I needed to get to work early. I called Eric while I was driving and about 15 min later I looked in my rear view mirror and realized I forgot to drop Bug off at daycare ... I was just driving to work and was planning to bring him with me I guess. So I had to turn around, drive back in the other direction, sit through school traffic and drop him off. I also felt bad because my sitter woke up early to watch him and I was nearly 20 minutes late. Then by the time I got back on the highway rush hour started ... needless to say I did not make it to work early as as planned!

Also If you have not noticed ... we have a thumb sucker. He found his thumb last weekend and it is the most entertaining object in his life. He no long accepts his binki's which is good in the fact that we will not freak out if we lose one cause that thumb is with him at all times. I really didn't want a thumb sucker but I am learning that I am not the boss.
